I started my grooming career in 2010. I've always been passionate about animals. Grooming cats and dogs has allowed me to enjoy their company as well as to make them feel better and happier.

I started grooming at a corporate salon while I was going to college at Colorado State University. I always loved working with animals and grooming gave me the ability to earn a livable wage while going to school full time. After moving to Louisiana and getting a job in my field, I met Maria through my husband Eddie and really enjoyed the atmosphere in her shop. I couldn't resist the opportunity to groom part time for her!

What inspired me to learn how to groom was when I got my first large double coated dog at 17. Many people told me to shave him to make him more comfortable but after starting in a grooming salon a few years later I learned through proper grooming I could make him much more comfortable without shaving his beautiful coat. Through my new education and skills, due in no small part to Maria herself, I have been able to help many more pets beautiful and comfortable. Grooming in her salon has really felt like family. It's a truly caring environment that people rarely find nowadays and I know that the dogs can feel that, too. The most fun I have had as a groomer has been at Maria's.
